Tri Sigma facts
Tri Sigma was the first NPC sorority in
Alaska,
and currently the only sorority with two chapters in the state.
Tri Sigma was the first sorority to establish an international chapter
outside of North America.
Tri Sigma was the first NPC organization to install a deaf chapter. The
Epsilon Psi Chapter at Rochester Institute of Technology was installed
in 1991.
We were the first to implement a 6-8 new member program.
We were also the first to open a chapter outside of North America.
We were the first to adopt a nationally recognized child's play therapy
program.
We were the first sorority to adopt a zero-tolerance hazing policy.
The play atriums featured in the movie Patch Adams were funded by Tri
Sigma.
Carrie Underwood, Grammy award winning singer, and Tri Sigma alum, spoke
at the 2007 National Convention, held in Nashville, TN.

Notable alumnae
Linda Denham
- created the
Care Bears.
The Harmony Bear, was created especially for Tri-Sigmas.

Carrie Underwood

member of the Alpha Iota chapter of Tri Sigma.

of the Zeta Pi Chapter.
